What Are Assessments?

An assessment is what an agent recorded for a single trace: the verdict it reached and why. Every time Gatekeeper or Data Protector reviews a trace, it leaves an assessment. The Assessments view under Agents is the full, searchable record of those verdicts across your organisation. It is where you go to understand what your agents are catching, confirm they are behaving as you expect, and decide what to adjust. Coach does not write assessments. Its activity shows up under AI Literacy.

What Each Assessment Shows

The trace

Which interaction was reviewed, its direction, the service involved, and when it happened.

The verdict

Allowed, Flagged, or Blocked, along with the agent’s reasoning.

Applied instruction

If an instruction shaped the verdict, it is shown so you can see exactly why the agent acted.

Notifications

If a high-criticality finding notified a channel, that delivery appears here too.

Find What You Need

Open the Filters menu to narrow the list. Search sits in its own section at the top of the menu: type part of an assessment’s description to find it. Save a set of filters as a view to return to the same slice quickly. Assessments opens on the last 30 days. Use the date range in the filter bar to look further back, up to 400 days at a time. Filter counts cover the same range as the list. The False positive tab lists Data Protector blocks that a user challenged, with the reasoning they gave. See false-positive challenges.

Correct Future Behaviour

When you review a Data Protector assessment of a prompt and decide how that scenario should be treated in future, select Correct future behaviour. Set the criticality and action, and Velatir saves it as an instruction on that Data Protector. The instruction keeps a link back to the assessment it came from, so the origin of every rule stays clear. If an instruction already shaped the verdict, select View instruction to open it on the Data Protector.
Reviewing assessments in the first weeks is the fastest way to tune your setup. What you see here tells you which services to allow or block and which data categories matter most.
